Script Overview

This After Effects script is built around a system of smart zones designed to streamline layout, animation, and template creation :

• Key Features

  Element-to-zone linking
  Each element is linked to its zone through an effect parameter.
  → If you switch an element to a different target zone, it instantly repositions and resizes according to the new zone’s settings. (watch the video with the LOSC logo)

  Consistent in/out animations
  Elements enter and exit correctly regardless of their size, position, or replacement. No precomps or keyframes involved.(watch the video with the LOSC logo)

  Dimension control
  Elements automatically fit within the defined zone and never exceed its bounds, even when replaced or resized.

  Easy zone creation and adjustments
  Width, height, positioning (top-left, bottom-right, centered…), and margins can all be set precisely through a clear and ergonomic interface.

  Zone nesting and modular structures
  Zones can be linked to other zones, allowing you to build modular blocks of zones that maintain consistent relationships.(watch the video 2&3)

  One-click duplication
  Zones can be duplicated instantly via the UI, maintaining all settings and relationships.

  Responsive templates
  When a composition is duplicated or resized, zones automatically preserve their relative position and margins, ensuring layout consistency across variations.

  Template integrity
  Media or text can be replaced freely without breaking any animation or layout logic, since everything is driven by zones and expressions rather than keyframes.
  
  Multi-layer management
  You can select multiple layers to process them all at once.(watch the video witn the bento grid)
  
  Transform a fixed layout into an adaptativ model with layers animation

EXAMPLES

Layers recalculates their entry/exit position based on changes in the dimensions of the area

RESTRICTIONS
- the script takes the size of your entire layer, if you have alpha margins or a mask on it, you need to crop/precompose it for the script to work.
- it works for 2025 version (but you can ask me to adapt it to previous version)

- It need to set Javascript Expression Engine on your aep project
- Anchor point are locked and drive by expressions
- The templates created with this tool contain many expressions

Install :
- save your folder wherever you want in a local path

- place the .jxbin in your After Effects script Panel
(C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 2025\Support Files\Scripts\ScriptUI Panels)

- at first opening script will ask you where is your folder path
👉 if doesn't work use the "Save_IZI_LAYOUT_Folder.jsx" file to save properly your path to the IZI_LAYOUT folder
